Ochy has developed proprietary computer vision AI to analyze running gait in real time using only a smartphone camera, no wearables or motion capture required. By simply recording a 10 second running video, Ochy tracks key biomechanical metrics such as stride length and joint angles, delivering a personalized analysis that highlights an individual's strengths and areas for improvement. The platform then generates a tailored exercise plan designed to enhance running efficiency, reduce injury risk, and optimize overall performance.
Ochy was founded in 2021 by Khaldon Evans, along with physical therapist Perrine Chapot and technical engineer Victor Dequidt. The trio developed the Ochy platform after Khaldon’s NCAA track career at the University of Central Missouri was derailed due to recurring injuries. These injuries were attributed to improper form that could have been corrected with more accessible running gait analysis. They set out to create Ochy to support and empower athletes around the world.
